Discovering what is true, good, and beautiful every step of the way.

Our Values

We believe that the truth-seeking nature of our Catholic culture and faith must be preserved and taught to the next generation. At Stella Maris, we enrich every lesson with our Catholic beliefs and joy, always remaining faithful to the magisterium of the Catholic Church and supporting our students to be the capable disciples that Christ calls us to be. Through study of scripture and catechism, we engage our youth in the study of our faith and encourage collaborative projects, positive peer motivation, and public speaking.

We teach a classical curriculum with a brain-based pedagogical approach in order to be accessible to all learners, including those in our community with different learning needs such as ADHD and Dyslexia.  By incorporating play and game-based lessons, we provide positive learning experiences that will make learning concrete for our homeschoolers.

Raising Saints.

We work to raise saints who know Christ and walk with Him as intentional disciples, living in virtue, grace, and in communion with the Church.

Encouraging Excellence.

We seek to develop a love of learning and a passion for discovering what is true, good, and beautiful in the world around us in order to reveal and contemplate God.

Supporting Families.

We support homeschooling families in their vocation to educate their children both academically and spiritually, emboldening them to live in hope and rejoice in God’s love.

Preparing Learners.

We prepare learners to think critically, defend their faith, and confidently speak the truth throughout their lives, recognizing that all knowledge reveals something of God’s nature.

Engaging Education.

We engage students in truthful, accessible, and fun academic instruction that makes knowledge come to life through physical activity and real applications.

Building Community.

We provide both structured and unstructured social opportunities for students and families to facilitate friendships that build up the Body of Christ and encourage virtue and service.

Our Location

Stella Maris serves the greater Brighton/Howell/Hartland area and is hosted at 2|42 Community Center in Brighton, MI. 2|42 offers both classroom space and an indoor astro-turf soccer field where the kids can get some energy out and play during breaks. We’re grateful to our host campus, especially during the winter months when it’s hard to get outside!
